Ferrari Challenge Sebring on Film

I’m setting a goal to try and shoot at least one roll of film every motorsport weekend this year. Some I will shoot solely on film but for the weekends I’m working I’ve decided to sneak in a few film shots just to experiment and see what I can come up with.

Here are a few from last weekend’s Ferrari Challenge race at Sebring, Florida. These were captured on Portra 160 shot at ISO 100 with my trusty Nikon F100. I mostly used either my 24-70, 70-200 or the Nikkor 50mm F/1.4D. Overall pretty happy with the results! The Portra doesn’t really like the harsh Florida sun when backlit so I’ll have to remember that for next time. I like the overall look of Portra but I don’t really think it fits modern Ferrari race cars. I will probably shoot more Portra at some vintage racing later this year.

Check out my gallery below and tell me what you think!

2019 Daytona 24 on Film

A long time coming so I’ll be short on words. A few photos from the very wet Daytona 24 this year. Half of the race was under red flag or caution so I didn’t get too many shots but hopefully you will enjoy what I did manage to capture.

Shot on Nikon F3 and Nikon F100. Agfa 400, Ektar 100 and Cinestill 800t film.

Enjoy,
